The mission of Riverview Elementary School is to provide a quality education through exemplary programs, services, and activities that empower all students to maximize their full potential in mind, body and spirit. Creating and maintaining a culture of collaboration has been at the core of the practices at Riverview since the school opened in 2002. Strong leadership and a united, caring staff have created an environment that demands a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement from both students and adults.
Besides the rigorous and demanding academic program that has developed at Riverview, the school offers other programs such as classroom music instruction for grades K-4; band, choir, and orchestra for grades 5 and 6; physical fitness instruction for all grade levels; Accelerated Reader, GATE, Robotics, Science Fair, and History Day opportunities, along with a full array of athletic opportunities.
Riverview enjoys the benefits of having an involved and supportive community and a student body motivated to perform well. The culture that has developed over the past sixteen years has created a unique environment where parents, students and teachers truly feel like they are working as one. The students, staff and community take pride in the fact that Riverview has been recognized as a CUSD Exemplary School every year since opening in 2002. Additionally, Riverview was recognized as a California Distinguished School in 2006, 2010, and again in 2014 exemplifying the school motto “Rams are Charging to Success!”.
